Da 'ainu Minni

These Eyes Are On Me

This song is by Amina from a movie "Wilad El Balad".

Da 'ainu minni wida 'ainu minni
These eyes are on me and these eyes are on me
wa ana 'aini minnak inta.
and my eyes are on you.
Da nifsu feyya wa da nifsu feyya
He wants me and he wants me
wa ana nifsi fik inta.
and I want you.

Mababusish le gherak la, la.
I don't look anybody else no, no.
Da inta ragil wa sid el rigala.
You are a man and the best man.
Da inta ma'shish gowa albi
You are nesting in my hart
hata ta'ala bus ta'ala.
come and check.
Da el nas kafa winta fe kafa.
All the people are something and you are something else.
Maktubli min wana fi el lafa.
You have been my destiny since I was born.
Da inta el ragil illi ana bahlam yangejni youm el zaffa.
You are the man I always dreamed of holding on the wedding day.

* Biswish aleya
Take your time
da ana wahda neya.
I'm lonely.
Ma tahebinsh
Don't love me
keda marra wahda tab wahda, wahda
like this all at once, but little by little
wa matefterish.
don't be so strong.

Fi rigala ketiir fi el donya bas min no'ak mafish.
There are many men in the world but no-one like you.
Da 'ainu minni.
These eyes are on me.

Bikilma minnak ana albi dab
One word from you my hart melts
wibkilmiteen ana gismi sab.
and with two words my body shivers.
Da ana binazriten gat rigli
When you looked at me twice I fell love with you
Wadini getlak wibrigli.
and I walked to you.
Bahebak yabn el lazina min shar rasi lerigli.
I love you, nice boy, from my head to my toes.

Rimushi hakahalhumlak
I will darken my eye lashes
w'alard hafrishumlak
and lower them to the floor
A'shan tibqa timshi alehum
so you can walk on them
law totlob 'aini addihumlak.
even if you ask my eyes, I'll give them to you.

repeat from *
Change in the line:
keda marra wahda khudni wahda, wahda.
like this all at once, take me little by little

I'm very grateful for all my friends, who helped me to translate the lyrics of this song. None of my friends is a professional Arabic-English translator: some of them are fluent in Arabic, some English and a few - my self included - have some skill in both languages. It's often quite challenging to express both the idea and the literal meaning of the lyrics in a few words, as I consider it most useful to the dancers that the translation include both these aspects.
